Quadra 3® NS
When Walk-Away Operation is NOT Required - Quadra 3® NS is a Perfect Fit
- The Quadra 3® NS duplicates the power of Tomtec's Quadra 3® with the exception of no stackers
- The six station shuttle moves the various elements to the pipettor head, under program control
- The operator merely changes the plates as the protocol executes
Pipetting Flexibility

Tomtec's 96 well, 450µL Pipetting Head has a precision of 2% at a volume of 10µL. The 20µL Pipetting Head can deliver volumes of 1µL at a precision of < 5%. Tomtec provides a positive displacement design in both 96 and 384 well formats. These Pipetting Heads incorporate stainless needles that are Teflon® coated inside and outside. They provide precision of 2-3% at 0.5µL. Circulated ultrasonic tip washing is used to clean the needles.
Full Indexing Stage

An impressive design element of the Quadra 3® NS is the indexing stage. It lifts the plates to the pipettor head with the precision to touch off sub-microliter aliquots. By indexing, it can reformat from 96 to 384 to 1536, or any other offset that is required. When used with a single row of tips, on either of the 96 well disposable tip pipettors, it can accomplish serial dilutions in the 8 or 12 direction, or both for synergy studies.

Ultrasonic Tip Washing

The Quadra 3® NS comes equipped with a circulated ultrasonic tip washing station. On several tests, using different methods of detection, any carryover was lost in the background level of the measuring device, scintillation counting, fluorescence and spectrophotometer. Reusing tips eliminates a significant operating cost.
